2½ cups all-purpose flour

2¼ tsp active dry yeast

½ cup warm milk

¼ cup sugar

¼ tsp salt

1 egg

4 tbsp butter (softened)

⅓ cup sugar (filling)

2 tbsp butter (filling)

1½ tsp cardamom
-
Zest of 1 orange

½ cup powdered sugar
-
1–2 tbsp orange juice (for glaze)
Instructions

Bloom yeast in warm milk with sugar.

Mix with flour, egg, butter, salt. Knead until soft.

Let rise 1 hour.

Mix filling: butter, sugar, cardamom, zest.

Roll dough, spread filling, roll and twist.

Second rise 30 mins.

Bake at 350°F for 25–30 mins.

Drizzle with glaze and serve warm.
