Instructions

  1. Prepare the cream mixture by whisking together heavy cream, one egg, and one egg yolk; chill in the freezer.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, chai spice blend, and salt in a food processor; pulse to blend.
  3. Add cold butter cubes and pulse until small chunks remain.
  4. Gradually mix in the chilled cream mixture until a wet dough forms.
  5. Shape the dough into a disc, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill for 30 minutes.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut into scones; brush with egg wash.
  7. Bake at 375°F for 20–22 minutes until golden brown.
  8. While baking, whisk together glaze ingredients; dip baked scones to coat.
