Ingredients

  • 6 cups of cubed bread (preferably stale)

  • 4 large eggs

  • 2 cups whole milk

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • Pinch of salt

  • 2 tbsp butter (for greasing)


Instructions

  • Cube the bread and arrange in a greased baking dish.

  • Whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.

  • Pour the custard over the bread, pressing down to ensure it’s soaked.

  • Cover and refrigerate overnight.

  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown.
