- 6–8 cups Boiling Water
- 1 tbsp Baking Soda
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1 Large Egg
- 1 tbsp Water
- Everything Bagel Seasoning
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk warm water, yeast, and sugar; let sit until foamy.
- Add bread flour and salt; mix until a thick dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Shape into a ball, place in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise for 60-90 minutes until doubled.
- Preheat oven to 425ºF; line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut dough into 8 equal pieces and shape each into a bagel.
- Boil water with baking soda and honey; boil each bagel for one minute per side.
- Drain excess liquid and brush with an egg wash; sprinkle with seasoning.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
