Ingredients
- 3.5–4 lb boneless skinless beef shoulder (cut into 4" chunks)
- 3/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 2.5 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2.5 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp oregano
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1.5 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, more or less to taste)
Instructions
- Mix all spice rub ingredients in a bowl. Season beef chunks by coating them generously with the rub.
- Place the seasoned beef in your Crockpot or Instant Pot and pour over the fresh orange and lime juices.
- Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 7-8 hours until the meat is tender.
- Shred the beef using forks after removing it from the cooker.
- For crispy edges, spread the shredded beef on a baking sheet and broil for about 5–7 minutes.
