  • 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (about 450 grams)
  • 1 cup black cocoa powder
  • 3 1/4 cups Oreo crumbs (divided; don’t remove the white filling)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3.9 oz INSTANT chocolate pudding
  • 2 cups heavy cream (cold)
  • 1/3 cup 2% milk (cold)
  • 2/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup Dutch process cocoa powder
  • Pectin-based gummy candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, black cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just blended.
  4. Fold in two-thirds of the Oreo crumbs into the cookie dough.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie. Bake for about 10 minutes until edges are firm but centers remain soft.
  6. For frosting, whisk instant chocolate pudding mix with cold heavy cream and milk until thickened; fold in powdered sugar and cocoa powder along with vanilla extract.
  7. Once cooled, spread frosting over each cookie and top with remaining Oreo crumbs and pectin-based gummy candies.
