Ingredients

  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta

  • 1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 3 cups chicken broth

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook sausage in a large pot over medium heat until browned. Remove and set aside.

  2. Sauté onions and garlic in the same pot until softened.

  3. Add sausage, pasta, broth, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then simmer until pasta is al dente.

  4. Stir in cream and Parmesan cheese, simmer until the sauce thickens.

  5. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and parsley.
