  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 8 slices turkey bacon (cooked crisp)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pound the chicken breasts to about 1 inch thick and season with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, salt, black pepper.
  2. Place seasoned chicken in a baking dish and bake for about 20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 155°F (68°C).
  3. While the chicken bakes, cook turkey bacon in a frying pan until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Brush baked chicken with BBQ sauce, layer on turkey bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Return to oven for an additional 5-7 minutes until cheese melts and chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
