  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup lukewarm water
  • 32 ounces ground beef (80/20)
  • Cheese slices (American, Cheddar, etc.)
  • Burger toppings (lettuce, tomato, ketchup, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar. Add egg, salt, yeast, and lukewarm water; mix gradually with flour until forming a soft dough.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl and let it rise covered for about 1 hour until doubled.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into portions. Roll into balls and place in the skull pan.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown; allow to cool slightly before removing.
  5. Cook beef patties in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  6. Slice each bun open, add one patty inside with cheese and desired toppings.
