- Preheat your oven to 425°F /220°C with the rack in the center.

- Pour in ½ cup heavy cream and bring to a gentle boil. Allow it to thicken slightly.
- Remove from heat: Stir in 1–2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice if desired. Garnish with 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley, seasoning with additional ground black pepper and salt to taste.
