- 1 cup granulated sugar (for coating)

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted, for coating)
Instructions
- Reduce apple cider in a nonstick saucepan over medium heat until it thickens to about 1/3 cup; cool.
- In a bowl, whisk together the egg, both sugars, melted butter, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and spices.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture along with the reduced cider until just combined.
- Fill a greased donut pan halfway with batter and bake at 350°F for about 10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool slightly before coating in melted butter followed by a mixture of sugar and spices.
