Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cup oat flour (certified gluten-free) or gluten-free all-purpose flour

- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup coconut oil or dairy-free butter alternative
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup applesauce

- 1–2 tbsp water, milk or more apple cider
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon for frosting

- 2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In one bowl, mix oat flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and other spices.
- In another bowl, combine melted coconut oil or dairy-free butter, brown sugar, applesauce, apple cider, vanilla extract, and eggs until blended.
- Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fill cupcake liners evenly and bake for about 22 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cooling before frosting with spiced buttercream.
