- For the Spiced Buttercream Frosting: 1/2 cup softened dairy-free butter, 1-2 tbsp water, milk or more apple cider, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, pinch of nutmeg, 2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with liners.
- In one bowl, mix together oat flour, baking powder, salt, and spices. In another bowl, whisk melted oil or butter with brown sugar, applesauce, apple cider, vanilla extract, and eggs.
- Combine the dry and wet ingredients until just mixed; avoid overmixing.
- Pour batter into liners and bake for 20–22 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
