Ingredients
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar + 2 tablespoons
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 & 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 large cold eggs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (for coating)
Instructions
- In a shallow bowl, mix together 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon for coating.
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, milk, vanilla, butter, salt, and sugar mixture over medium heat until boiling. Reduce heat and stir in flour until a thick dough forms.
- Beat the dough with an electric mixer for about two minutes. Add eggs one at a time until smooth.
- Chill the dough in a piping bag fitted with a star tip for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C) and spray basket with nonstick spray.
- Pipe strips of dough into the basket, cutting them into bite-sized pieces.
- Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Brush with melted butter and roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture immediately.
